Sweet Sugar, Utes Hold Off Bama

Kyle Whittingham had his team ready to prove their point. The Utah defense did a fantastic job by holding 'Bama to 17 points. The Tide scored as few as 17 only one time this season.
This was the game between the teams with the shiny, red helmets. Utah got off to a quick start by scoring 21 unanswered first quarter points. The Alabama Crimson Tide, 10.5 point favorites, made it a game though by closing the gap to 4 points at the start of the 3rd quarter and trailed by 11 with 5:30 to go in the game, only to lose a fumble near their own 35 yard line.

The camera shots of Saban pacing the sideline were too many to count, but he couldn't get his offense to hold off the quicker and more assertive defense of the Utah Utes. We knew it was over when they started showing more shots of the Utah cheerleaders than the pacing Nick Saban (and seriously, who is going to complain about that ;-).

Utah ends up as the only undefeated team this season at 13-0. This is the first time they've beaten a team from the SEC.
There are four games left. DShapiro2 has taken the lead for now, he'll likely hold it if Florida beats Oklahoma by 4 points or more.
